The SAG-AFTRA National Board unanimously approved a TV/Theatrical/Streaming negotiations package during its scheduled one-day video plenary today. Bargaining with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers for successor agreements to the TV/Theatrical/Streaming Contracts is set to begin Monday, Feb. 9. The current contracts expire June 30.

The negotiations package was shaped with member input from across the country through SAG-AFTRA’s wages and working conditions process, which gathered feedback on the issues and priorities that matter most to members working under the TV/Theatrical/Streaming contracts. The proposals within the negotiations package are confidential and are not released.

SAG-AFTRA President Sean Astin said, “Over the past months, I’ve listened to members from every corner of our union talk about how their work and livelihoods are evolving. This negotiations package is rooted in those conversations. As we begin bargaining with the AMPTP, we do so united, prepared and focused on securing protections that reflect the realities of today’s industry and the value our members bring to it every day.”

SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said, “This proposal package is the result of careful analysis, extensive member input and rigorous discussion by the National Board. We launch these negotiations with a clear strategy and a steadfast focus on achieving a deal that protects SAG-AFTRA members across all media and platforms.”
